8 Days/7 Nights Egypt Tour With Nile Cruise
OVERVIEW
The country of Egypt ( Misr), dates back to the time of the Pharaohs and is famous for its claim to be one of the world's best-preserved ancient civilizations. World re-known for its monuments such as the Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx, the Karnak Temple and Luxor’s Valley of the Kings, The Colossi of Memnon, the two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, Egypt is a country dotted with landmarks of great historical significance.
Cairo
The city of Cairo, with a population of just under 20.0 million is the administrative, commercial, and tourist capital of Egypt. Covering an area of some 453 sq kilometers, Cairo has been inhabited for over 6000 years and is a well-known center of great learning. The city is bounded by the fertile Valley of River Nile to the north, while to the east, west and south lie the expansive Arabian and Sahara deserts.
In the center of downtown Cairo is Tahir Square, a famous meeting point for tourists from all over the world.
The Egyptian Museum with its hundreds of thousands of monuments some dating back to the time of the Pharaohs is located in Tahir Square. Other famous museums include the Museum of Islamic Arts which contains a huge collection from early Islamic civilization.
The City of Cairo has a population of just under 10 million the majority of whom are of the Sunni Muslim faith. However, the city also has a sizeable population of Coptic Christians, which it is reported, arrived here before Islam took root. At the Coptic Museum, visitors will find a rare collection of the history of the Coptic community in Egypt.
The Nile Cruise
The Nile Cruise is a very interesting cultural tour of the discovery of Egypt in an easy and laid-back fashion. The distances from one city to the next are fairly short and are interspersed with off cruise visits to many of the landmark monuments that have made Egypt one of the must-see tourist destinations of the world. We have prepared for you an all-inclusive itinerary that takes you to the most beautiful scenery between Luxor and Aswan, on a relaxing 5-day cruise starting and ending in Cairo.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi - Cairo:
Depart JKIA for Cairo International Airport on Kenya Airways / Egypt Air or any of your other favorite airlines. Many flights from Jomo Kenyatta Airport arrive in Cairo conveniently in the morning. On arrival, you will be met and assisted by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. Check-in will be followed by a detailed day-by-day brief of your travel itinerary, where you will go and what you will see, and important information about the destination. The rest of the day is at leisure for own arrangements. Overnight at your hotel in Cairo on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids / Egyptian Museum:
After breakfast, enjoy a unique excursion to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus & to the largest and oldest known monumental statue in the world, the Great Sphinx. Visit also the Valley Temple, then pay a visit to the Egyptian Museum where you can see the collection of Tutankhamen among other splendid pharaonic artifacts. Thereafter continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Complete your day by a shopping tour of the ever-busy Khan El Khalili Bazaar before returning back to the hotel for your well-deserved dinner and an early night.
Day 3: Cruise from Luxor:
Check out from the hotel in the morning then transfer to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor where you will be met and assisted, then transferred to board your 5-star Egypt Nile cruise. After lunch on board, disembark and visit the impressive Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple. Dinner and overnight onboard the Cruise.
Day 4: Sailing to Edfu:
After breakfast, we leave for a visit to the Valley of the Kings which contains more than 60 tombs of the Pharaohs. Thereafter we visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built in the 15th century BC. We end the morning with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon. We sail again after lunch, to Edfu with dinner onboard the cruise.
Day 5: Edfu/Kom Ombo:
After breakfast, we visit the Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus at Edfu. Thereafter we sail to Kom Ombo to see the Temple of Sobek, and Horus the falcon-headed god. Lunch will be taken on board as we
continue sailing to Aswan. Dinner will be taken on board the cruise.
Day 6: Aswan Sightseeing:
Today will be our last day of the cruise and we start the day with breakfast on board, then disembark for a full day of sightseeing in Aswan. The highlights of the tour are the Aswan High Dam, followed by a visit to Unfinished Obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt. We then visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. Finally, we take a local felucca boat and spend some time sailing around the Elephantine Island before returning to the cruise, where dinner will be served on board. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 7: Back to Cairo:
After breakfast, transfer to Aswan Airport for your return to Cairo where you will be met and assisted at the airport and then taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure for own arrangements. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 8: Day tour to Alexander:
An early breakfast, followed by a day trip to Alexander. Return to Cairo in the late afternoon then transferred straight to Cairo International Airport for departure.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel at least 7 days (s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 3 and 6 days (s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 2 days (s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
