Whenever you choose RAYDOLL TOURS you can be sure that your itinerary will include a wide range of the following features that have earned Kenya prominence as a land of great contrasts and the number one holiday destination in Africa.
Wildlife in abundance including Kenya's Big Five- Lion, Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, and the often elusive Leopard. A visit to our world-famous Maasai Mara National Park as well as to other parks generously located in many of Kenya, guarantees you wildlife viewing as close to nature as you can possibly get, while at the same time enjoying staying in comfort at some of the best wildlife lodges and camps to be found anywhere in Africa;
The yearly migration is controlled by nature's invisible hand which guides millions of wildebeest in single formation across many thousands of miles across the Serengeti and into the Mara. Joined by Zebras and Topi and other plains game, and followed in close range by the predators, no words can ever describe this incredible sight. This has to be seen to be believed!
The Rift Valley - nature's great phenomenon that cuts right across the country from Lake Turkana- the "Jade Sea" in the north, through the hissing steam jets of Bogoria and down past the sleepy volcanoes of Longonot and Suswa, embracing the salt pans of Lake Magadi and finally exiting south at Lake Natron. In between are scenes of great physical drama- high precipitous walls and hairpin bends overlook hundreds of acres of drylands dotted with scrub and thorn out of which, suddenly hot jets of steam and geysers burst forth sometimes forty to fifty feet in the air;
Rolling hills and meandering valleys, lush countryside farms laden with tea and coffee, pineapples and wheat, dairy farms, and cattle ranches, give way to spectacular mountain ranges including the incredible sight of the snow-capped peaks of Mt Kenya and Mt Kilimanjaro;
Coconut palms swaying in the wind against brilliant white beaches stretching the whole coastline from Shimoni on the southern tip of Kenya to Kiunga on the extreme north;
Lush tropical nature gardens containing flowers of every hue populated with birds of every description including almost one million flamingoes gracefully walking on the shores of Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogoria- a truly birdwatcher's paradise;
Deep-sea fishing for sport - a regular feature of our coastal programs competes for the pride of place with the more relaxed fishing activities on the clear cold streams of Naro Moru or Nanyuki on the slopes of Mt Kenya, or the more exclusive programs in the islands of Rusinga and Mfangano on Lake Victoria, the second-largest freshwater lake in the world with its vast population of the huge Nile Perch;
The beautiful unspoiled cultures of the Maasai and Samburu which have defied time and the romantic Afro-Arabic fusion of two dominant but different lifestyles which created the beautiful Swahili culture found in all coastal regions are but two of the cultural programs on offer. To this add the diverse ethnic lifestyles of Kenya's more than forty tribes captured in dance, art, and craft ranging from beautiful woodcarvings in ebony, rosewood, and mahogany to intricate beadwork and handmade jewelry fashioned from natural substances to the rich Kisii soapstone carvings - a feature found nowhere else in the world except Kenya;
Kenya has been dubbed the Cradle of Mankind and several world-renowned archeological finds have been dug in exotic-sounding places such as Koobi Fora on the shores of Lake Turkana ;
To the above add warm and sunny days throughout the year, plenty of fresh fruits, fresh fish, meat, and dairy products brought from the farms on a daily basis;
Finally, add a generous dose of the warm hospitality of the Kenyan people and the friendliest of service offered by well-trained and knowledgeable industry specialists, and you have our guarantee of a holiday of a lifetime.
